How I can help you
Having started four businesses that failed--two in the music business, one in magazine publishing, a fourth in telephone sales-- I learned more than enough from my mistakes to finally "get it right" with my fifth and sixth businesses-both nonfic tion book publishers--which together grew vigorously for 32 years until I finally retired and sold them.I'm not sure if there is a mistake I didn't make, but I doubt it. Knowing all the wrong things I did and all the right things I finally did give me, I think, a unique perspective on the start-up process. While not an expert in any of the basic fields necessary for almost any business to work, let alone succeed--legal, accounting, sales, marketing, digital presence, etc.--I learned enough to deal with the many professionals with whom I "partnered" to know what questions to ask and how to evaluate their answers.
