A. Blake Enterprises, Antionette Blake
Antionette Blake helps businesses engage with their customers and build their reputations through social media. Her business grew out of the success of her first blog, DeDivahDeals, where she wrote about “fashion and fun after 50” and local events in Delaware. Blake also started conducting social media workshops in 2013. When Ronni Cohen, executive director of The Delaware Financial Literacy Institute, saw Blake’s post about DFLI’s “Purses to Portfolios” event, she was impressed. She asked Blake to blog for DFLI and teach workshops at local public libraries.
Within a year, Blake won DFLI’s “Golden Purse” award and was a featured speaker at “Purses to Portfolios.” She soon became a sought-after presenter for other organizations, like the Milford Chamber of Commerce, Dover High School, Seeds of Greatness Church, and the Dover Colonial Rotary Club. She founded A. Blake Enterprises in 2015, through which she manages businesses’ social media platforms, creating content that helps them engage with their target market.
Blake also hosts the “Social Media Sunday with the Delaware Blogger” podcast for AAU Global Productions Media Group, interviewing people who, through their business or talents, have had a positive impact on their community.
My Successes
Blake received the 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and is now an adjunct professor at Delaware Technical Community Colleges and Delaware State University teaching others how to “Build a Brand with a Blog.”
Blake has been featured in The Delaware Business Times and Delaware Today magazine. She won the 2017 Best Blogger Award from North DelaWhere Happening Magazine.
